Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Gets Limited Edition PS4

Square Enix announced during a livestream event on Wednesday during that Sony will begin taking reservations for a limited-edition Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PlayStation 4 variant in early April. Square Enix will reveal the price and release date for the specially-designed console at a later time.

The pack will include both the PS4 and the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and the PS4 itself will feature a laser-engraved Final Fantasy XIV logo on the HDD bay cover. The game's producer Naoki Yoshida previewed the console during the livestream.

Dark Souls II's Launch Trailer Posted

From Software posted the launch trailer for its upcoming dark action role-playing video game Dark Souls II on Tuesday.


From Software revealed Dark Souls II at Spike TV's Video Game Awards in December 2012. The game is a sequel to 2011's Dark Souls action role-playing game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. From Software had previously developed the Armored Core franchise and Demon's Souls game, for which the Dark Souls games serve as a "spiritual sequel."

J-Stars Victory Vs. Game's Last 13-Minute Full Promo Streamed

Namco Bandai Games began streaming the seventh and final full promotional video for its J-Stars Victory Vs. "team battle action" video game on Monday. The 13-minute video highlights the 52 characters from 32 titles who will appear in Shonen Jump's 45th anniversary game:

Azure Striker Gunvolt Game by Megaman's Keiji Inafune Announced

During the BitSummit independent game festival in Kyoto, Keiji Inafune and the Japanese game development company Inti Creates announced a new 2D side-scrolling action game, Azure Striker Gunvolt, that will debut on Nintendo's 3DS eShop this summer.

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call 3DS Game Adds Reno, Golbez, More as Enemies


The April issue of Square Enix's Shonen Gangan magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Final Fantasy II's Emperor, Final Fantasy IV's Golbez and Zeromus,Final Fantasy VII's Reno, and Final Fantasy X's Braska's Final Summoning will all appear as enemies in Square Enix's Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call rhythm game.

Hamatora: Look at Smoking World 3DS Game Commercial Streamed

Japanese game developer FuRyu (Exstetra, To Love-Ru Darkness: Battle Ecstasy) began streaming a commercial on Wednesday for its Nintendo 3DS game Hamatora: Look at the Smoking World. The game will ship in Japan on July 17.


Shuhou Imai will direct the game, which will include characters that appeared in the anime, as well as new characters.

"Twitch Plays Pokemon" continues with its successful run, with plans already brewing of the second generation of Pokemon games lined up after the Elite Four for this installment has been beaten.

But the success of the crowd-based and rather literal multiplayer game online, "Twitch Plays Pokemon," has also started the trend of multiple players interacting via chat and basically giving rein to thousands of Twitch users to play one character in the game.

Once again the Twitch Plays Pokémon event is making the headlines, but once again perhaps not for the right reasons. After we told you that trolls were signing up to spam commands, it looks like trolls have evolved to participate in a much more sinister activity.


We can tell you that hardcore fans are still trying their hardest to obtain all badges as a collective effort, ignoring the persistent trolls in attempt to complete the game and mark Twitch Plays Pokemon as a huge success.

Hack Of Pokemon X&Y Unveils Diancie Event


After last months official acknowledgement of Diancie by Game Freak, hackers of Pokemon X and Y have unlocked the event in which the player encounters the legendary Pokemon.

The Pokemon appears to be received through Mystery Gift, which means that Nintendo will eventually release an online event in order to get Diancie.

Club Nintendo Promotion Offers Free Pokémon X or Y in March



Nintendo is offering a free download code in March for Pokémon X or Pokémon Y to those who register, via Club Nintendo, either a 3DS, 3DS XL or 2DS, and one of five games for that platform.

The promotion is, obviously, designed to encourage people to buy one of the handhelds, but if for some reason you have one and one of these games laying around unregistered, it's a free game.
