The ranking website Charapedia held a survey asking Japanese anime fans which Spring premiere they are most looking forward to this year. The survey was held from February 26 to March 2 and received a total of 1,386 responses. Respondents were 67.1 percent male, 32.9 percent female and most were in their teens and twenties (79 percent).
The overall winner when both demographics combined was: Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei (The irregular at magic high school). Fans of the light novel series stated they had high expectations for the adaptation and of voice actress Saori Hayami, and were anxious to see how the series would be adapted into animation. They also they are interested due to the absurdity of the original series.
The second top choice is the second season of Love Live! School idol project followed by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. Both male and female fans expressed excitement in seeing the character's superpowers animated.
