eShop Update brings with it 3 new games, Pokebank remains elusive

Fans of the Pokemon X & Y game have been waiting for the re-release of PokeBank after it was taken from the eShop after it caused servers to crash. PokeBank has been re-released in Japan, but gamers in Europe and the US don’t know when they might get it again.
There was a rumor going around which had gamers hopeful that Nintendo would launch PokeBank again yesterday as Nintendo had posted on their site that the eShop would be undergoing an update which would affect Pokemon X & Y. Sadly the update is over and it didn’t see Nintendo re-launch PokeBank. The update brought with it three games instead.

For those who don’t know, the PokeBank allows players of Pokemon X & Y to deposit and store their Pokemon from older games and bring them into the latest game. When PokeBank was first released there was a large volume of traffic as everyone rushed for it at the same time. The PokeBank and Poke Transporter were scheduled for release on 27 December according to a statement on the Nintendo website. Gamers in the UK and US have not had an update over at Nintendo since the one in December and are still waiting for news.

Nintendo did say in the statement that getting PokeBank out was top priority but they are not keeping gamers in Europe and the US updated on when to expect it. Japan has had PokeBank for well over a week now, which has caused anger among those waiting for it in other regions around the world.
